Location

• Mt Cook Motels are located in the lower Aoraki Village, approximately 800 metres from the Hermitage Hotel.
• Check-in is at Mt Cook Lodge from October to April and at the Hermitage Hotel from May to September.

Self-Catering Facilities 

• All motel units include a kitchen, lounge area and outdoor patio.
• Ideal for families, groups and guests wanting the flexibility to prepare their own meals.

Dining

• Guests booking Bed & Breakfast or Dinner, Bed & Breakfast packages will dine at the Hermitage Hotel.
• The Chamois Bar & Grill is located 50 metres away at Mt Cook Lodge and serves pub favourites and Kiwi classics from 4.00pm daily.
• Please note the Chamois Bar & Grill is closed from 9 May – 31 August 2026.

Experiences

• Visit the Activities Retail Centre at the Hermitage Hotel for information on walks and to book guided experiences, including Glacier Explorers and Big Sky Stargazing.
