Located in the lower Aoraki village, the Mt Cook Lodge offers a relaxed atmosphere and easy access to the region's most popular walks and experiences; it's the ideal base for exploring the Southern Alps

Before you book, here's everything you need to know about your stay.

Location

• The Mt Cook Lodge is located in the lower Aoraki Village, 800 metres from the Hermitage Hotel.
• The lodge offers a more relaxed atmosphere while remaining close to dining, activities and walking tracks.

Room Views

• Valley View Rooms overlook the Hooker Valley.
• Village View Rooms face the surrounding hillside and village.
• Lodge rooms do not offer direct views of Aoraki / Mount Cook.

Dining

• The Chamois Bar & Grill is located on site and serves pub favourites and Kiwi classics daily from 4.00pm.
• Guests booking Bed & Breakfast or Dinner, Bed & Breakfast packages will enjoy included meals at the Hermitage Hotel.
• Please note the Chamois Bar & Grill is closed from 9 May – 31 August 2026.
