Reception Venues
The Hermitage offers two main reception options to suit a
variety of budgets and tastes as well as friendly bars where you
and your guests can relax and enjoy pre-dinner drinks whilst
admiring the scenery. Our dedicated team are experts at attention
to detail and will ensure that your wedding reception is an event
to remember.
The Panorama Room
The Panorama Room is our signature a la carte restaurant. It
has spectacular floor to ceiling views of Aoraki Mount Cook, superb
cuisine using only the freshest local ingredients and first class
service standard providing a wonderful atmosphere for your wedding
reception. The stylish Panorama Room is available for larger
wedding groups from May to September and can comfortably seat up to
70 guests. Smaller groups may be booked at any time of the year
subject to availability.
The Sir Edmund Hillary Cafe
The Sir Edmund Hillary Cafe is our most versatile venue. The
different areas of the cafe can be transformed into canapes,
reception and even a dance floor area adding a beautiful flow to
your wedding day. The stunning floor to ceiling windows of the Sir
Edmund Hillary Cafe embraces the views of Aoraki Mount Cook and the
Hooker Valley, whilst the magnificent balcony enables guests to
enjoy the long summer evenings.
The versatile Sir Edmund Hillary Cafe can comfortably seat smaller
wedding parties from 60 guests to large gala receptions with
over 100 people without feeling too big or too small.
