The Hermitage is ideally situated for indoor and outdoor weddings with a range of venues and scenic locations to suit any ceremony. From a large wedding on the shores of Lake Pukaki to an intimate ceremony on top of a mountain, the dramatic landscape of the Aoraki Mount Cook region provides the most breathtaking backdrop for weddings year-round.

  • On the lawns in front of The Hermitage with Aoraki Mount Cook as your backdrop
  • On the shores of Lake Pukaki with its beautiful turquoise waters and Aoraki Mount Cook towering in the background
  • The charming Church of the Good Shepherd located on the shores of Lake Tekapo followed by a Hermitage wedding reception with all your friends & family.
  • On an alpine tussock-covered area only a short drive or walk from The Hermitage
  • Blue Lakes Shelter, a quaint stone building nestled in the Tasman Valley
  • For the more adventurous, fly into the mounatins and marry in the snow or on a glacier
